Transformerless Power supply | AC to DC Power supply | How to make 12 volt dc power supply

This tutorial shows how to build a ac to dc power supply that does not use a transformer.this dc power supply convert 230 to 5 - 12v dc power supply. this can be use also for ups power supply.

In a normal power supply, a transformer is used to lower the mains voltage, and also to limit the current. In this power supply, we use a capacitor and a resistor, that together form an impedance that lowers the current from the mains. The voltage is set by a bridge rectifier. Finally, there is a capacitor at the output, that filters the current.This ac dc converter you can use for toys, DC motor power supply, pc power supply, portable power supply, computer power supply, atx power supply
